This was taken on Topanga Beach in California. I use to go at sunset and watch the dolphins play off shore. I met Bob, on the beach one night as he was balancing the rocks on top of one another. I asked how he manages to find the right rock and he told me that he listens to the rocks. Enjoy

This is one of my favorite pictures. Taken at a neighborhood carnival, of a dragon roller coaster in motion. If you look closely, you can make out the kids on the ride. I am often asked if it is digitally manipulated. To get this affect, I used film, a slow shutter speed, and panning with my camera.

I spent a lot of time in the New York Botanical Gardens, shooting for their catalogs and on line content. I got to go in early in the morning before any other visitors arrived and roam around the grounds. This is one of my favorites taken with a Hasselblad. Enjoy!

I took this on Cape Cod in the town of Chatham. At low tide, you can see this incredible white sandbar, which is usually filled with seals, sunning themselves. Again another shot using a Nikon and film. Enjoy.

I took this photo in front of the National Museum of the American Indian in New York City. I like photos that create a juxtaposition, in this case a Victorian style statue set against the modern New York City backdrop. And of course, it wouldn't be New York City without a few pigeons. Enjoy!

Cascade bridge in Burlington Iowa is a beautiful, very old bridge. It had to be closed to vehicle traffic due to the age and the structural fatigue of the metal, but it makes a great photo. Shot digitally in January 2010. Enjoy!

I took this picture very early on the beaches in Cape Cod. This little walkway leads people out into the marsh on the bay side of the cape. I shot with a Hasselblad 501 film camera. I really love the soft predawn light It makes me feel as though the day is filled with possibilities. The cape is still one of my favorite places to vacation and to take pictures. Enjoy!
